A small moon jar to hang on the wall. Use it to just hang on the wall or to display (dried) flowers.

White glaze just like the original moon jars. But this vase has small crystals in white glaze.Near the rim, where the glaze is thinner, the sand coloured clay shows. This moon jar can be used with water and is glazed on the inside.

Since this crystal glaze is supper drippy this moon jar had some drips on the back. For you to hang it flat against the wall I removed these drips. but you will still see the last parts of them on the back.

Please be aware of the fact that my moon jars are not perfect. The moon jar was the Korean symbol for beauty at the end of the 17th century. Their organic shape and (originally) milky white color resembles the moon. The asymmetrical shape is formed by two halves that are joined in the middle. The seam, cracks, color differences and the irregular shape are left visual to accentuate the human touch and to show the craftsmanship.
