Tenmoku glazes originate from 10th -11th century China. These glazes can be found in colours from dark plum, to yellow, to brown, to black.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMy tenmoku is super dark brown and I combined it with brown terracotta clay. The top part of the moon jar is dipped in the glaze, the bottom part is unglazed, raw and textured. Their organic shape and (originally) milky white color resembles the moon. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe asymmetrical shape is formed by two halves that are joined in the middle.
